About Us
Hi, I'm Chuck Block. I owned Hogan's House of Music in Lawndale, California for 35 years. I moved to Lake Elsinore in 1987 and closed Hogan's Music in 2000. I have over 50 years experience repairing most instruments, I do complete or partial fret replacement, set ups, piecing together broken bodies and headstocks, etc. on acoustic or electric guitars and basses. I repair violins and rehair violin bows. Larry Carlton (jazz guitar) and The Beach Boys were some of my earlier repair customers. Ron Block (guitar and banjo) of Alison Krauss and Union Station has me do his fret work when he's in town. (I don't get paid though, because I'm his Dad.) I DON'T do pianos, electric keyboards, or amplifiers. I DO electric guitar wiring, pickup replacement, etc.
